IonCube Loader is an instrument, that is needed to run files that are encrypted with ionCube PHP Encoder. The latter is an application designed to make PHP code human unreadable, in order to protect it from reverse engineering and illegal use. Plenty of script-driven applications, in particular message boards, content management systems and e-commerce solutions are protected with ionCube PHP Encoder, therefore if you obtain a script and you notice that ionCube is among the website hosting environment requirements, you should ensure that your website hosting server has the tool pre-installed. Though it is not that difficult to install it if you have your own server, it's close to impossible to do that on a shared web hosting server since the PHP environment should be precompiled and all the clients on the server shall be affected.

IonCube in Hosting

If you obtain a Linux hosting plan from us, it'll be created on our in-house built cloud hosting platform where ionCube Loader is already installed, so you won't have any problems to manage any script app that requires the tool in order to run appropriately. We also provide a few different versions of PHP, so if you change the version, you will have to enable ionCube again. Our platform remembers the changes you make, so when you switch back to the previous version of PHP that was active for your account, ionCube Loader will already be turned on. The PHP version as well as the ionCube tool can be operated from the PHP Configuration area of our Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Any change that you do takes literally just a single click and it takes effect without delay.

IonCube in Semi-dedicated Servers

Every single semi-dedicated server account which is set up on our modern cloud website hosting platform has ionCube Loader support, and you can install any script app which needs the software tool. Then use it to start and maintain your web presence. You can activate ionCube from the PHP Configuration area of your Control Panel and it'll take you only a couple of clicks to do this. Your change will take effect without delay, which means that you're able to go ahead and set up the needed script in your account. If you'd like to change the PHP version which is active for the account, you should enable ionCube for the new release as well. Our in-house made platform also allows you to have a different PHP version for each domain or subdomain, which is done with a php.ini file in every domain folder. In the same way, you are able to enable/disable ionCube Loader for each website hosted in your semi-dedicated account.
